Kalol (Gujarat) [India], April 11: In what has become an annual tradition, a royal mass wedding ceremony for 51 daughters of the Rabari community from 14 regions will be held at Shri Visat Meldi Dham in Adisnanuparu. Young men and women from across Gujarat will gather to get married and begin a new chapter in their lives.

The event, reflecting social unity, cultural heritage, and tradition, will be graced by several prominent dignitaries including Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi, ICC Chairman Jay Shah, BJP State Organisation Secretary Ratnakarji, former General Secretary Pradeepsinh Vaghela, Rajya Sabha MPs Mayank Nayak and Babu Desai, Minister of Industries and Cooperation Jagdish Vishwakarma, and Sabarmati MLA Dr. Harshad Patel.

Social workers and community spokespersons Hari Desai and Dinesh Desai, along with the Rabari Nehada family, will host the ceremony. This mass wedding, showcasing the community’s deep-rooted values and rich traditions, is a matter of pride for the entire state.

This grand wedding, a true symbol of social service and cultural values, has sparked excitement across the state. As part of the event, a special Navchandi Yagna will be performed in honour of Shree Jodh Visat Meldi Mataji. Saints, spiritual leaders, and priests from all 14 regions of the Rabari community will be warmly welcomed and honoured.

Social worker Dinesh Desai, said, “Through such acts of service, not only within the Rabari community but across others too, I appeal to people to come forward and contribute to society.”

A grand Lok Dayro (folk music event) will also be held, featuring celebrated Gujarati artists including Kirtidan Gadhvi, Gaman Santhal, Geetaben Rabari, Pareshdan Gadhvi, Kinjal Rabari, Hitesh Antala, Vikram Maldhari, Vaghji Rabari, and other renowned performers. A cultural programme, featuring performances by Rajbha Gadhvi, Jignesh Kaviraj, and Nitin Barot, will accompany the festivities.

Traditional wedding songs will be presented by talented artists like Sangeetaben Labadiya, Brijraj Labadiya, Mahi Desai, Bhavika Rabari, and Tanvi Chauhan. A vibrant welcome procession with live DJ will also feature performances by well-known artists from the Rabari community of Gujarat.

The cultural programme will be coordinated by Sanjay from Adisnanuparu, Ravi Khoraj, Sunil Jaspura, Rajan Rayka, and Dhaval Motan.

On 12 April, a series of traditional rituals will take place, including Ganesh Sthapana, Mehndi and Haldi ceremonies, a grand Lok Dayro, and the Navchandi Yagna, culminating in a special Maha Aarti for the 51 brides.
